The national rural news program Rural Delivery recently aired a segment filmed at BioBrew's new production facility in the Waikato District. BioBrew Director Don Pearson and scientist Grant Pearson spoke to the camera while giving viewers an introduction to our product and the brewing process. A scientific trial designed to measure the effects of BioBrew on dairy calves began at Telford, A Division of Lincoln University, on Friday August 26, 2011.
The trial is a joint effort between The Clutha Agricultural Development Board, Lincoln University, Telford, and Biobrew Ltd and will run for seven weeks.
80 calves were weighed and split into four groups with two groups receiving BioBrew and two groups being raised without probiotic support.
In addition to weight gain, rates of scouring will be tracked and recorded during the trial.
